As part of trying to finish an army, my friends and I have decided to do a Tale of Gamers sort of deal where we paint a number of points a month (in this case 250) and play games at that point value. So far, we have myself working on Harlequins, Zeller (who has his own blog here) with his Black Templar, Patrick with his Chaos of all varieties, and possibly my brother with his Guard which is the half.
The goal is to get to 1500 points total. My first 250 is looking like it's either going to be 5 Players and 2 Skyweavers, or possibly 10 Troupe Members. I haven't quite decided yet.
I'll probably have less to paint then everyone else, but it may take me the longest since I've decided to get a little crazy with colors. Here is my first completed model. Just a Harlequin Troupe Player armed with a Harlequin Kiss and a Shuriken Pistol. Complete with way over the edge of the base pose.

Killer Space Clowns?
Well, one of my favorite factions came out for 40k, so I am, once again, switching armies.
I've been a big fan of Harlequins since I found out about them. They epitomize the glass canon nature of the Eldar race. Elegant, fast, deadly, while still crumpling like a paper bag. It also doesn't hurt that my Fiancee (soon to be wife as of June 6th) has danced since she was 3, so a little bit of connection in that regard.
After much debate, I've decide to go with the completely random colors and patterns, much like the Harlequins of old. I think basing will unite them all, and it'll let me play around with squads easily. I may regret the idea later. But it should stop me from being bored from painting the same scheme again and again.
I picked up a decent amount of stuff from the main release, the current tally stands at:
4 Harlequin Troupe Boxes, 24 Players (23 after the dog decided to use one as a chew toy)
1 Solitaire
2 Skyweaver Boxes, 4 Jetbikes
2 Starweaver/Voidweaver Boxes
1 Collectors Edition Harlequin Codex Set
I intend to get at least 1 Shadowseer and Death Jester, as well as 2 more boxes of Starweavers, and 1 more of the Skyweavers. That should allow a great deal of variety in my list making choices.
I've completed one Troupe player already, and am halfway through the second. If anyone has some fun color combinations they would like to suggest, I'm all ears (pointed though they may be).

Back To The Beginning!
Due to my inability to choose an army and follow through. I'm headed back to the first army I ever had. Dark Eldar. I sold a lot of stuff at the Empire Games Garage Sale, and hopefully I'll sell some more at the Imperial Outpost one. Regardless, I used the store credit I got to buy most of the army.
I picked up:
Dark Elf Black Arc Fleet Master for an Archon
Succubus
2 Boxes of Warriors
2 Boxes of Wyches
3 Venoms
1 Razorwing Jetfighter
This, along with some kits I purchased earlier is enough to cover all the troops and elites I think. Now all I need to get to 1500 is about 4 or so Venoms.
My goal is to get 500 points built and painted before playing with them.
The first 500 is:
Archon
4 Trueborn with Blasters in a Venom
2 Squads of 5 Warriors in Venoms
A bit cheesy perhaps, but it's a solid base for the rest of the army.

Krooty Progress
I've been trying to figure out a color scheme for the Kroot for a little while now, and decided to make a rash decision and just paint a Hound last night, and I think it payed off.
My main problem with my original idea (dark grey and yellow), was that I didn't like the lack of contrast between rider and Knarloc, or Kroot and Hound. So I decided that the Kroot were going to be painted similarly to a Harris Hawk, while the Hounds/Knarlocs would be lighter, almost coyote-esque.
So, here is my first test of that idea and I'm quite pleased with the results so far. It's also fairly quick to do, so the 20 Hounds I have left shouldn't take too long. I figure I can get 1 done a day in between jobs, maybe 2 or 3 if I don't have to work both.

First 7th Edition Game, Rousing Start
Played a 500 point game with my Dark Krootdar against my friend Justin and his Vostroyans. It was the first game of 7th, and I was fairly soundly beaten.
I took:
14 Warriors - Sybarite, Blaster, Splinter Cannon
5 Scourge - Solarite, 2 Blasters
3 Beastmasters - 10 Khymerae, 2 Razorwing Flocks
He took:
PCS
2 10 Man Squads
2 Special Weapons Teams
Heavy Weapons Team
2 Armored Sentinels
Hellhound
I was pretty much wiped out turn 4. Beasts got pinned turn one, Scourge mishap-ed, and the warriors got worked down to just the Splinter Cannon. The Beasts managed to wreck the Hellhound before being quickly removed from the board.
